Green Roads CBD oil has a natural hemp taste that lingers in the mouth. This is common across CBD oils, but something to note. Green Roads also offers tastier CBD gummies and two flavored lines of broad-spectrum, THC-free CBD oils they launched in 2020: mint breeze and apple kiwi bliss. Green Roads CBD oils are thicker than other brands, so that’s also something to note in terms of mouthfeel.

Green Roads touts that their “products are formulated in an ISO-6 clean room by a licensed pharmacist with more than 20 years experience.” It’s a nice statement that we can validate as we have expanded our conversations with the product developers and CEO, co-founder Laura Fuentes at Green Roads.
For multi-stage third-party testing, Green Roads uses Kaycha Labs, which is certified by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). Fuentes also informed us that Green Roads also follows cGMPs for dietary supplements and cosmetics, which is going above and beyond in the CBD industry.
We like Green Roads transparency, with easy-to-access lab reports. You just scan the QR code on the packaging to check out lab results specific to the product.
Our Experience
Green Roads is a mature brand (started in 2012) that seems serious about quality and transparency. Green Roads origins and current portfolio is mostly hemp-derived products defined as “broad-spectrum.” This essentially means that their products contain full-spectrum CBD components but without the THC. This can be a good thing for customers who are looking to avoid any trace amount of THC (the psychoactive ingredient in the cannabis plant).
In fact, CEO Laura Fuentes, a licensed pharmacist, was the first manufacturer to apply the term “broad-spectrum” to the hemp/CBD space. So, Green Roads has been pioneering in the broad-spectrum CBD arena for many years. As of 2020, Green Roads is now playing in the full-spectrum CBD oil space too.
Laura let us know that Green Roads is revamping their packaging across the portfolio in 2020. We like how the new packaging simply differentiates CBD isolate vs. broad-spectrum vs. full-spectrum series. We also like the clear dosing guide on the side of the box.
They are streamlining offerings to three CBD strength categories: “mild, moderate, and mighty.” The dropper or plunger (depending on the product) has mL listed on the side for an additionally easy dosing process.

- Use of artificial colors and flavors in many of their CBD gummy products (except Sleepy Z’s gummies, which are vegan and use natural colors/flavors). More Green Roads gummies with natural ingredients will be rolling out in 2020 according to Laura.
Green Roads Review – Important Notes
While very well organized, the volume of products on the site can be overwhelming for CBD beginners. The various concentrations offered throughout their CBD oils, gummies, topicals (creams and roll-on options), and capsules seems like a product mix for someone who knows what they’re looking for.
